However, if you are interested in Vocaloid (or Touhou, even!) MikuMikuDance is a very easy program to use. I've since lost interest in it, but it's great to begin with, you can make your own models, stages, and accessories with the proper tools (MikuMikuBeat has a little more information on it than I do, haha), and it is much easier to animate using MikuMikuDance than quite a few other programs. (It IS tedious though, ehe.)
Be sure to get the DirectX version; it's the most recent, and most newer models are going to be compatible with it. As for finding models, you can try the VPVP wiki, Nicovideo, and many other places! I'd help you out a little more, but I've since deleted my folder. :c Sorry! I do know one EXCELLENT model maker, though: Saboten, located here! (Personally, he/she is my favorite model maker. <3 Very nice.)
Also be sure to ALWAYS read the rules. One model maker took down their models for public download for quite some time because of failure to follow these rules. (On that note: try avoiding most of the userbase issues.)
Keep in mind, though, that some models are apart of an agreement between the model maker and a magazine called Windows100%. With the exception of one incident with one maker, these models are made specifically for the model; the only legitimate way to obtain these ones is by buying the magazine. BRS here is one such model.
